New to aged care?

If you need a bit of help or are looking to transition into aged care, we can help.

Even if you aren’t sure where to start, we can point you in the right direction.

There are four steps to accessing Australian Government-funded aged care services through My Aged Care.

Step 1. Learn about different types of care

Step 2. Get assessed for aged care services

Step 3. Find a provider in your area that suits your needs

Step 4. Manage your services

Community Options can help you each step of the way, connecting you to the best options for support based on your needs.

Our knowledge and friendly staff are based in Canberra and will ask the right questions to understand your circumstances.

Care at home through the CHSP

The Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) helps you get the support you need at home.

Under the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP), we can connect you with post-hospital support, domestic assistance services, flexible respite and long-term care for those with more complex care requirements.

Designed for all older Australians (65 years and over) and those living with disability, we can help you navigate the system and understand what you need and the funding you might be able to access.

Community Options approaches this next stage of your life in a way that empowers you, making the process clear and straight forward.

We want you to feel independent and set your mind at ease.
